Running Rants

This is a special section that I am dedicating to my Running Rants. This is by no means complete and I certainly plan on updating it, especially with my marathon training. Please enjoy and feel free to leave your own rants…they may make the list!

• Sprinklers that water the sidewalk and road.
• Overgrown plants, trees, shrubs, yards, etc impeding upon sidewalks.
• People who don’t STOP at STOP signs.
• People who stop in the crosswalk.
• Dogs on leashes….looong leashes.
• Dog owners who don’t control their dogs when a runner passes.
• Dog owners who don’t pick up their dog’s crap (and leave it on the sidewalk!!!).
• Florida + Summer + Sun.
• Construction workers and every guy who thinks it’s cool to whistle, hoot, and holler at a girl who’s running.
• My ego.
• Kids during a race who run full speed, then stop on a dime.
• The fact that there are people who can run faster than myself while pushing a stroller. Kind of jealous, but then again, running is a SOLO sport…
• Florida storms that pop out of no where and leave you stranded.
• Lightning.
• HIGH BEAMS.
• Bridges. More specifically, 4 bridges…in one race…a marathon.
